Specifications
The front flywheel ProForm 20.0 Crosstrainer ($799) comes with the requisite
heart rate program with sensors in the handgrips, a two-speed cooling fan to
keep you comfy during workouts, 9 workout programs designed to target specific
areas of the body, adjustable upper-body workout arms, 18” stride length, and 14
levels of SMR™ Silent Magnetic Resistance. The ProForm 20.0 elliptical trainer
includes an MP3 port as well as the Audio Crosstrainer™ feature which gives the
user an option of using the audible Personal Trainer.

Drawbacks
The main drawbacks of the ProForm 20.0 are some cheap plastic parts used, some
set-up problems due to poorly aligned pieces, and a short warranty. The unit is
listed as having a weight capacity of 250 pounds, but we wouldn’t recommend this
crosstrainer for anyone over 185 pounds. For anyone under that, you should find
this elliptical trainer to be remarkably quiet and sturdy.
Play While Exercising
But let’s get to those video games. The ProForm 20.0 elliptical crosstrainer has
2 GameFit™ interactive games that you can play as you exercise. Using the
controllers located on the handles, you can play a Fat Blocker game or an
upper-level Calorie Destroyer. (Calorie Destroyer? Love the sound of that!) The
idea is that the harder you exert yourself and the more you put into the
workout, the higher the score you can achieve. That should keep you entertained
for quite a few miles.
Our Verdict
Overall, the quality and ergonomics on the ProForm 20.0 elliptical trainer are
decent, and the reliability and performance aren’t shabby either. It comes with
a 90-day parts and labor warranty. While the video games aren’t at the level of
any sort of Virtual Reality or Xbox game, some users find the ProForm 20.0
Crosstrainer to be a lot of fun and are motivated to stay on longer for a better
workout.
